In the Matchday 5 Champions League clash between Arsenal and Bayern, one of Munich’s youngest stars shone once more—17-year-old Lennart Karl, who found the net in the 32nd minute to level the score.
Details: Karl became the youngest player in tournament history to score in each of his first two Champions League starts—at just 17 years and 277 days old.
On top of that, Karl is averaging a direct goal contribution (goal or assist) every 83 minutes on the pitch for Bayern—an exceptional record for such a young prospect.
This season, Karl has made fifteen appearances for the Munich side, scoring four times and providing two assists.
Reminder: Arsenal scored their tenth goal from a corner this season in the match against Bayern.
