Jürgen Klopp has commented on the unexpected departure of Xabi Alonso from his position as head coach of Real Madrid.

Details: Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp appeared on the show "Sport and Talk from Hangar-7" and expressed his regret over Alonso's situation, noting that the Spaniard had demonstrated top-level coaching skills in recent years, especially at Bayer. The German specialist pointed out how telling the speed of decision-making in Madrid is: a coach leaving after just half a year in charge, and right after losing the final to Barcelona, highlights the immense pressure and sky-high expectations at Real.

"If Xabi Alonso, who spent over two years in Leverkusen showing what an outstanding coaching talent he is, is forced to leave Real after just six months, it means that things at the club are not one hundred percent in order," Klopp stated.

Klopp also admitted that after the news of the "Merengues" parting ways with Alonso, he was indeed contacted, but not in regard to an offer from Madrid. According to Klopp, several people thought it necessary to ask him directly about his position, but he stressed that the situation at Real has nothing to do with him.

Klopp also emphasized how difficult it is to take over after a manager like Carlo Ancelotti and to implement new ideas in a team with firmly established principles. At the same time, the 58-year-old once again stressed that he does not plan to return to coaching, remaining satisfied with his current role within the Red Bull structure and observing the transformation of the coaching market from the sidelines.

Reminder: Xabi Alonso commented on his dismissal from Real.
