The Marseille head coach made a sensational statement during a press conference, catching many by surprise.
Details: At the pre-match press conference ahead of the Ligue 1 Round 15 clash against Lille, Marseille’s head coach declared that he considers Angers to be the team playing the best football in Ligue 1, and also highlighted their manager, Alexandre Dujeux.
“The team playing the best football in France right now is Angers. I really like their coach,” said De Zerbi.
Such remarks caused quite a stir, as Angers currently have just 16 points in Ligue 1 and sit 12th in the standings. Meanwhile, De Zerbi’s Marseille have 29 points and are in third place.
