The president of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis, commented on Maurizio Sarri's departure from Lazio, as reported by Sport Mediaset.

According to him, resigning is far too facile, a move only an underachiever would make. He emphasized the necessity of seeking resolutions rather than walking away from the team.

"Resigning too easily, that's what defines underachievement. I'm unsure of the motives behind this, but Lotito doesn't seem confrontational. He possesses qualities, and solutions should have been sought for a team that one cannot simply abandon towards the end of the season," De Laurentiis revealed.

He further added that it truly shocked him and that when you undertake the role of a coach, you must assume responsibility.

"It genuinely shocked me. After your initial experiences, when you become a professional, you must bear your share of responsibility. If you agree to take on the role of a coach, you must see it through out of respect for the club, players, and supporters," added the president of Napoli.

Recall that Maurizio Sarri led Lazio from the 2015-16 season until the end of the 2017-18 season.

It's worth noting that renowned Italian tactician Maurizio Sarri has resigned from his position as head coach of Lazio. In Sarri's absence, his assistant Giovanni Martusciello will temporarily assume the duties of head coach.
