"This is madness". Famous coach criticized Chelsea for buying Mudryk
Famous English coach Harry Redknapp believes that Chelsea paid too much for Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudryk.
Redknapp spoke about a conversation with Frank Lampard, who was the coach of the London club at the time of the player's purchase.
According to the British coach, 100 million euros is unjustified money for a Ukrainian.
“For 30 million pounds a player can be quite good, but for 40 million he can be average again, but more reliable. However, if a club is now spending 60-70 million pounds, then it’s just crazy.
Lampard said that Mudryk is as fast as a lightning, but has no tactical knowledge. I was surprised by the fact that a footballer who was paid £90 million for does not know the game. For such a huge amount of money, the player needs to be fully prepared and have a good understanding of tactics,” he told Kammy & Ben's Proper Football Podcast.
It is reasonable to remind that Mudryk moved to the London team in January of this year for 70+30 million euros.
The Ukrainian footballer has only two goals and two assists in 28 matches for the Blues.
