Michael Olise might still regain his composure before the quarterfinals.
Details: The French Football Federation has appealed to FIFA to overturn the yellow card given to Michael Olise, which the winger received in the 2026 World Cup round of 16 match against Paraguay, according to RTL.

The incident occurred in the 7th minute of stoppage time in the second half of the match against Paraguay. Olise was booked following a clash with Paraguay midfielder Matías Galarza. The Frenchman put his finger to his lips in front of his opponent, after which Galarza went down on the pitch.
However, replays showed that Olise did not make contact with Galarza.
This was Olise's first yellow card of the tournament. If he receives another booking in the quarterfinal against Morocco, he will be suspended for the next match due to accumulation.
It is worth noting that FIFA had previously lifted the one-match suspension of US forward Folarin Balogun, who was shown a red card in the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Reminder: Belgium is currently challenging the decision to overturn Balogun's suspension.
