FIFA has thrown Belgium into procedural chaos.

Details: The Belgian Football Association has issued a scathing statement regarding the case of US national team striker Folarin Balogun.

According to the official press release, the RBFA accuses FIFA of declaring Belgium's appeal inadmissible. At the same time, the federation insists that as of now, they have not received any official decision or explanation on the matter.

Because of this, Belgium has stated that it has no choice but to challenge Balogun's eligibility for the upcoming match.

The RBFA also emphasized that, regardless of the sporting outcome, they are deeply disappointed with the way the situation is unfolding and are determined to continue their fight over the coming hours, days, and months—for the sake of ethics, fair play, and the interests of football as a whole.

It's worth noting that this controversy has erupted ahead of the upcoming clash between the USA and Belgium, and following the lifting of the suspension on US forward Folarin Balogun.
