Former WBC champion Deontay Wilder's coach, Malik Scott, revealed that one of the main reasons for Joseph Parker's victory over the Bronze Bomber could have been the use of hallucinogens.

The heavyweight's coach disclosed that Wilder had become involved with the ayahuasca drink, which induces visions and hallucinations. Ayahuasca could have made the bomber more lenient, leading to his failure in the ring.

“I think Deontay has a killer instinct that you can't suppress, but I think he enjoyed ayahuasca. He said it made him a bit content and understand the smaller and softer things in life. Violence wasn't a top priority that night and I think that's why we came up short. Deontay is a killer, he's violent - that Deontay didn't show up that night. But that's not the fighter you're going to see in his next fight.” Scott said.

It is worth recalling that Wilder suffered a devastating defeat to Parker in December of last year. Earlier reports suggested who and when Deontay could have his next fight.
