The American heavyweight Deontay Wilder is close to returning to the ring after his defeat to Joseph Parker.

According to journalist Michael Coppinger, the Bronze Bomber and Zhilei Zhang are in the process of finalizing a deal for a fight, which could take place on June 1st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The heavyweight bout will be part of the undercard for the fight for the absolute title between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

It was previously reported that on the undercard of the fight between Beterbiev and Bivol, Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois might fight. It is expected that there will also be a "Five on Five" battle on the undercard, featuring five fighters from Matchroom Eddie Hearn, who will face off against five boxers from Queensberry Frank Warren.

At the end of last year, Wilder suffered a devastating defeat to Parker. Zhilei also suffered a defeat from the New Zealand fighter in his recent bout.
