Thierry Henry reveals which Arsenal academy players were rated higher than Bukayo Saka
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has shared which players from the club’s academy were considered bigger talents than Bukayo Saka during his time working with the Gunners.
According to Henry, Saka wasn’t viewed as the standout talent in his cohort. The club had higher hopes for Reiss Nelson, Chris Willock, and Donyell Malen.
Quote: "When I was at the academy [as a coach], people spoke a lot about Chris Willock, Reiss Nelson, Donyell Malen, and Bukayo was just... yeah, he’s good, but he wasn’t the talk of the academy.
That’s why I have so much respect for Bukayo and a soft spot for him as my favorite player," Henry told BBC Sport.
Reminder: This season, Saka has scored 7 goals and provided 11 assists in 20 matches across all competitions for Arsenal.
