Thierry Henry names two Premier League legends he would have loved to play with
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry did not hesitate to name two iconic figures in Premier League history with whom he would have liked to play on the same team.
Details. In an episode of Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Henry picked former Chelsea duo Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka.
Quote. "Who would I have liked to play with? Drogba and Anelka. I would have loved to play up front with Anelka. I would have loved to play with Nicolas at Arsenal.
I saw Drogba the other day and told him, ‘Imagine if we had played together.’ He [Drogba] didn’t like leaving his zone, while I was more mobile, running all over the pitch. It would have been incredible." – said Henry.
Reminder. In total, Henry played 258 Premier League matches, scoring 175 goals and providing 74 assists.
The former Barcelona and Juventus star ranks eighth among the Premier League’s all-time top scorers, and he was recently surpassed by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
Earlier, Henry pointed out the weak spot in Manchester City star Erling Haaland’s game.
