Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2–1 in the latest El Clásico, and recently the Madrid goalkeeper revealed who added extra fuel to the showdown.
Details: In an interview with COPE, Thibaut Courtois said that Lamine Yamal fired up El Clásico with his pre-match comments.
Quote: “Lamine Yamal heated up the Clásico a bit with his words. When they beat us, they didn’t show us much respect either,” Courtois said.
Earlier reports indicated that Yamal’s agent, Jorge Mendes, together with Barcelona’s management, decided to monitor and regulate the young winger’s social media activity following the recent controversy during El Clásico.
