41-year-old defender Thiago Silva is considering extending his playing career in Europe.

Details: According to Sport Mediaset, Silva is ready to terminate his contract with Fluminense, which runs until June 2026, as early as this December. The main motivation for the player is to reunite with his family, who are based in Europe, specifically in London.

Silva and his family will consider offers from clubs, and he is not ruling out the possibility of returning to Milan, where he played from 2009 to 2012, winning both a Serie A title and the Italian Super Cup. The defender's main priority is to finish his career playing in Europe, so he can be closer to his children, who play for Chelsea.

A potential move back to Europe would also give the defender another shot at fulfilling his dream — to play at the 2026 World Cup, which would be his fifth appearance at the tournament.

The Brazilian has already made 119 appearances for Milan, scoring six goals and providing two assists during his time at the club.

Reminder: Milan are ready to offer around €10 million for Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.
