They've accepted it. Bangladesh will not appeal ICC's decision to replace them with Scotland at the T20 World Cup
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided not to challenge the decision of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Earlier, we reported on the ICC's move to replace Bangladesh with Scotland in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Details: Amzad Hossain, chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board's media committee, announced after a board meeting in Dhaka that the federation has accepted the ICC's decision and does not intend to seek arbitration or approach any other authorities.
"We have accepted the ICC board decision. It was made clear to us that there would be no rescheduling of matches or alternative solutions," he stated.
To recap, Bangladesh was excluded after the team refused to travel to India, where the tournament is set to be held. Following a government meeting, it was confirmed that concerns over player safety remain. This position was officially communicated to the ICC, which then decided to include Scotland in the tournament as the next highest-ranked qualifying team.
Recall: The champion of the 2026 Bangladesh Premier League cricket season has been determined.
