In the winter of 2023, one should not expect significant activity from clubs in the Saudi Arabian league in the transfer market.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, most clubs spent the allocated transfer funds last summer. They are utilizing a budget of 17 billion euros that the state invested in the development of the league.

Additionally, most clubs have reached the limit on the number of foreign players in their squad. This season, the limit is set at 8 players, and it will increase to 10 starting from the next season. It is expected that during the summer, Saudi Arabian clubs will once again be very active in the transfer market.

In the winter of 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the Saudi Arabian league, scoring 54 goals for Al-Nassr and becoming the top scorer of the year 2023 worldwide.
