After Pisa’s promotion to Serie A, we were all set for a thrilling Inzaghi brothers’ derby at the summit of Italian football. But soon, one brother left the Italian top flight, and now, neither will be present in Serie A at all.
Details: Filippo Inzaghi has left his post as head coach of Pisa by mutual agreement, according to the press service of the newly promoted Serie A club. This decision comes just weeks after Pippo led Pisa to Serie A for the first time in 34 years. Reports indicate that Inzaghi’s next destination will once again be a Serie B side—Palermo.
Reminder: The Inzaghi brothers’ derby became impossible after the more successful coach, Simone, left Inter Milan to take charge of Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia. The former Italy international striker began his coaching career in Milan, managing the Rossoneri for a season before guiding Venezia up from the third division.
