According to Maresca, the 23-year-old attacking midfielder for Chelsea and the England national team suffered an unfortunate accident that will sideline him for several games:
"He most likely won't be able to play tomorrow, and he'll also miss the matches against Barcelona and Arsenal.
Unfortunately, he got injured at home, banging his toe. It's nothing too serious, but he won't be back next week. His toe is broken," Maresca said.
Tomorrow, Chelsea will face Burnley away in Matchweek 12 of the Premier League.
This season, Palmer has managed to play only 4 matches due to a string of injuries, scoring 2 goals.
Reminder: Cole Palmer returns to the pitch as his recovery continues
