On Wednesday, August 7, in Paris, the women's sport climbing finals took place.

Polish climber Aleksandra Miroslaw won the gold medal with a time of 6.10 seconds, narrowly beating her Chinese competitor, Lijuan Deng, who secured the silver medal by just 0.08 seconds.

Another Polish athlete, Aleksandra Kalucka, claimed the bronze medal.

This victory marks Poland's first gold medal at the Paris Games. In total, Poland has won six medals (1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze) so far.

Additionally, a new discipline debuted at the 2024 Paris Olympics in athletics: mixed team race walking. The first-ever Olympic gold in this discipline was won by the Spanish pair, Álvaro Martín and María Pérez.
