Atlético Madrid has announced the signing of Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso. The goalkeeper has joined the team on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper played 24 matches last season. He is expected to serve as a backup to Jan Oblak.

Musso's contract with Atalanta is set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 season.

Musso is Atlético's sixth signing of the summer. Previously, the club signed Clément Lenglet, Robin Le Normand, Conor Gallagher, Julián Álvarez, and Alexander Sørloth.

Notably, Atalanta has already found a replacement for the Argentine. The "Goddess" has signed a contract with experienced Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patrício.
