Rui Patricio has signed a contract with Atalanta

The legendary Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio left Roma at the end of last season as a free agent.

It has been announced that Atalanta seized the opportunity and signed a one-year contract with Patricio. Rui spent 12 years at Sporting, three seasons at Wolverhampton, and three at Roma.

Notably, Atalanta’s goalkeeper Musso has transferred to Atlético Madrid. Musso’s contract with Atalanta was set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 season.

Although Musso was the starting goalkeeper for Atalanta in their opening Serie A match against Lecce, he did not feature in the second game of the season.
