The Blancos will have to pay a hefty compensation.
Details: According to The GOAL, negotiations between Real Madrid and Benfica Lisbon have hit a snag.
The core issue lies in delays related to Benfica's presidential elections, which now mean that bringing José Mourinho back will cost Real a hefty €15 million—a sum the Galacticos are unwilling to pay in full.
While talks had previously been progressing smoothly, Benfica now finds itself in a stronger bargaining position and can dictate terms to Real, who will have to dig deep if they want Mourinho back at the helm.
Previously, Mourinho managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, overseeing 178 matches, notching up 127 wins, 28 draws, and suffering 23 defeats.
