There are big changes coming at Man United that will affect ten Hag himself

The arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team at Manchester United will bring with it big organisational changes that will disrupt established ways of doing things and redistribute spheres of influence to certain parts of the club.

But the management set-up, according to, Manchester Evening News, will shrink the sphere of influence of head coach Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman now has control over the Mancunians' transfers, but the final say on player signings will go to the club's sporting governing body and ten Hag, if he continues with Manchester United, will be left with a secondary role in these matters. He will still influence signings, but he will no longer play the main fiddle.

This could affect the future of the Dutchman himself, as he has previously stated that the condition for him is control over transfers, although the media are already pedalling rumours of ten Hag's resignation, and it is already known where he could go after leaving Old Trafford.
