Thembinkosi Lorch continues to dish out top drawer displays for Wydad Casablanca as he notches up his 10th assist of the season
There seem to be no stopping Thembinkosi Lorch from shining for Wydad Casablanca.
The man keeps shining for the North African side as he was on hand last night creating his side’s only goal in Tanzania.
Lorch, a subject of Bafana Bafana selection here in South Africa, judging by his performances, looks unbothered by the national team snub.
Bafana coach Hugo Broos has questioned his age, 32, as one which disqualifies him for selection.
But this does not apply at Wydad as his team bat Azam of Tanzania in a Caf Confederation Cup match last night.
Ahead of that game, Lorch spoke about being familiar with Azam’s home turf having been there his former South African clubs in Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Nordin Amrat was the beneficiary of Lorch’s brilliant play in the 57th minute against Azam when netted from the midfielder’s pass.
This was Lorch’s 10th assist of the season, something which makes him one of the most influential Wydad players.
Wydad are on top of Group B following this win with six points.
