Themba Zwane thinks Rulani Mokwena will receive better treatment from Mamelodi Sundowns fans
Themba Zwane does not think that Rulani Mokwena will receive harsh treatment when Mokowena’s MC Alger faces the Betway Premiership giants in the Caf Champions League.
Mamelodi Sundowns fans gave former coach Pitso Mosimane a middle finger when he was in charge of Al Ahly.
The North African travelled to South Africa for a Caf Champions League match against the Tshwane giants and Mosimane was given a welcome not befitting a former coach.
Now, with Mokowena expected to come to the country with his MC Alger team many think he would be subjected to the same treatment meted to Mosimane.
Sundowns midfielder and captain Themba Zwane does not think Mokwena is likely to face similar events as Mosimane.
“I think there won’t be too much [drama], he has done so much for the club," said Zwane at the CAF Champions League draw in Johannesburg on Monday.
"Obviously, we like him; he’s a good human being and a good coach. I mean, as players, we’ve learned a lot from him when he was here. We’re going to welcome him with good hands."
The midfielder is still out with an injury but he is closer to returning to action.
