Themba Zwane says he will be ready for next month's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco
Themba Zwane says he has recovered from his injury and that he will be ready for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Zwane has been out of the Mamelodi Sundowns side since September after limping off during a PSL match.
The Brazilians captain said he is ready.
“Now, I’m feeling good, I’m alright and running without feeling any pain,” said Zwane on Monday after the Caf Champions League draw.
“But now, I’m just doing more strengthening so that I can be more stronger. I’m looking forward to be back on the pitch.”
It has been feared that the midfield maestro will be out for a much longer period and that he will miss Afcon.
While injured, Bafana managed to qualify for next year’s World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico, where he was expected to play a major role.
But for the 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026 spectacle, Zane confirmed he will be ready.
“100%, I will be ready for AFCON,” said Zwane.
