Themba Zwane is an eternal optimist. The Mamelodi Sundowns midfield maestro believes he will be part of Bafana Bafana's Afcon Squad
Themba Zwane is stubborn.
The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder refuses to throw in the towel.
Having heard what Hugo Broos said about him some few weeks agoo, Zwane should not be as positive.
But the Bafana Bafana midfield maestro does not see his international career as limited by injury.
Zwane is presently injured and if there is one player who seem distant from Bafana’s Afcon squad, it is him as he has been out injured for a reasonable period to be selected.
National team coach, Hugo Broos, conceded, ahead of the friendly international against Zambia, he may do without the injury-prone Zwane in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations.
But Zwane has listed his goals which include not only going but also winning Afcon.
“Now, at club level, obviously, I just want to win all the trophies that are remaining,” Zwane told iDiski Times.
And the most important and contribute for my team. And obviously, the biggest one that we want, ‘the Champions League.
“And obviously internationally, to go to the AFCON and win the AFCON and again, go to the World Cup in June and be there for the national team and try to contribute and push ourselves and do as best as we can.”
