Guardiola's departure now seems inevitable.
Details: According to Alfredo Pedullà on his page on social network X, Manchester City's management has included 67-year-old Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri among the top contenders to succeed Pep Guardiola.
It is reported that Sarri is in demand not only in England but also in Italy, where Napoli is considering bringing him back should Antonio Conte leave.
Sarri's contract with Lazio expires next summer, making his return to England a very real possibility.
Guardiola's contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2027, and it appears it will not be extended, as Pep himself has previously stated he wants to take a break and step away from football for a while.
Reminder: Premier League will not reschedule Manchester City match. What did City request?
