The PSG and French national team's midfielder, Warren Zaire-Emery, sustained an injury during the match against Gibraltar.

According to L'Équipe, the 17-year-old footballer will not play any further matches this year. The player suffered the injury during a goal-scoring moment. In this game, Zaire-Emery became the youngest debutant and the youngest goal-scorer in the national team's history. The midfielder suffered an ankle injury, avoiding a fracture but sustaining a significant strain.

Recall that the French national team demolished Gibraltar in the ninth round of Euro 2024 qualifiers. Fourteen goals found their way into the net of the modest opponent, with the score already at 3-0 by the sixteenth minute. Mbappe, Klauss, Coman, Fofana, Rabiot, Dembele, and Giroud all contributed to the goal tally. One of the goals was an own goal by the visitors.

Warren Zaire-Emery, born in the suburbs of Paris, quickly caught the eye of scouts from the capital's Paris Saint-Germain, signing his first contract with them in 2014.

On August 6, 2022, Zaire-Emery made his official debut in the starting lineup for PSG, coming on as a substitute in a French league match against Clermont. At the age of 16 years and 151 days, he became the youngest player in the club's history, breaking the previous record held by El-Chadaille Bisthiabu.
