The Belgian footballer, aged 19, came on as a substitute in the 58th minute, replacing Ian Maatsen. He operates in the midfield position. Chelsea secured the services of Roméo Lavia in the summer of 2023 for a sum of 62 million euros. However, due to an injury, he was unable to play for his new club until December 2023, when his debut finally materialized.

It is worth recalling that Lavia transferred to Southampton for 10.5 million pounds, signing a five-year contract with the club, on July 6, 2022.
