It looks like Coady will be sidelined from football for quite some time.
Details: In today's English Championship Matchday 41 clash between Watford and Charlton, an extremely distressing and frightening incident occurred.
In the 92nd minute of stoppage time, Charlton's 33-year-old central defender Conor Coady took a direct blow to the face from Watford's Tom Ince. As a result, Coady was forced to leave the pitch—first on a stretcher, and then by ambulance.
Coady's injury was so severe that the referee had to temporarily halt the match to allow the medical team to give Conor the full attention he urgently needed.
Sky Sports, the broadcaster covering the game, refused to show a replay of the incident, stating it would be inappropriate out of respect for Coady and his family, who likely would not want to witness the moment again.
Conor Coady is contracted to Wrexham, but has been playing the second half of the season at Charlton on loan.
The match itself ended 1-1.
