The World Cup match in Al Amarat between the USA and Oman has made cricket history.
Details. The USA set a new record for the lowest total runs scored in a completed men’s One Day International (ODI) match while still securing victory. The Americans defeated Oman by 57 runs, scoring just 122 in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup match.
The previous record for the lowest winning total in a completed ODI was 125 runs, set by India against Pakistan in the 1985 Rothmans Four-Nations Cup. India won that match by 38 runs in Sharjah.
Reminder. Earlier, we reported that an Ireland women's national team cricketer was suspended from international competition for a bizarre reason.
