Ireland women's cricketer suspended from international competition for a bizarre reason INPHO

A very unusual incident has occurred in international cricket, with 18-year-old Irish spinner Amy Maguire at the center of it.

Details: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended Maguire from national team competitions due to an illegal bowling action.

The 18-year-old came under scrutiny from match officials following Ireland’s One-Day International against India in Rajkot on January 10.

After a thorough review, it was determined that the degree of elbow extension in her deliveries exceeded the maximum allowable limit of 15 degrees.

As a result, she violated Rule 6.1, which leads to suspension from international competition.

Ireland’s cricket federation has already announced that they will work to rectify the issue.

Despite her young career, Amy Maguire has already played 20 matches for Ireland, taking 25 wickets.

Reminder: Earlier, cricket legend Ravichandran Ashwin retired from India’s national team.
