Today at the "Apex" arena in Los Angeles, USA, the UFC Fight Night 240 tournament took place. The main event was a middleweight bout between two Americans, Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis.

The fight went the full five rounds, and immediately after the final bell, Curtis fell to the floor and grabbed his leg. He needed assistance from his coach to stand up and hear the referee's verdict, which declared Allen the winner.

Immediately after this, Curtis managed to exit the octagon, but stretchers were already waiting for him there, and he was carried out of sight of the spectators.

Thanks to today's victory, Allen was able to avenge his defeat to his compatriot in 2021.

Curtis has won only two of his last six fights, and he will have to put in a lot of effort to regain his position as a top contender in the middleweight division after recovering from the injury.

Allen is currently on a seven-fight winning streak, and he is likely to face Vettori in a highly anticipated matchup, which could potentially lead either of them to a title shot.
