Tonight, at the Apex arena in Los Angeles, USA, the UFC Fight Night 240 tournament took place.

In the main event of the show, two American middleweight fighters, Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis, faced off in the octagon. The bout lasted all five rounds, and the winner had to be determined by the judges. They unanimously awarded the victory to Allen, thus allowing him to avenge his defeat to his compatriot Curtis in 2021. While Curtis had previously defeated his opponent by knockout in the second round, Allen managed to secure victory solely by the decision of the judges, albeit unanimously.

In the co-main event of the evening, also featuring two Americans, Alexander Hernandez and Damon Jackson battled it out in the welterweight division. Once again, the fight went the distance, lasting all three planned rounds, after which the judges decided the winner. Damon Jackson emerged victorious by split decision, although his compatriot came very close to victory.
