The two finalists of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have been decided
On Wednesday, January 14, the semi-final matches of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations took place, revealing the two teams that will compete for the gold medals.
In the first semi-final, Senegal faced Egypt. The only goal came in the 78th minute, scored by Sadio Mané, who secured victory for his national team.
In the other match, the tournament hosts Morocco took on Nigeria. The encounter went beyond regular time. Moreover, neither side managed to find a winner in extra time, and the match was decided by a penalty shootout.
As a result, Senegal will face Morocco in the final for the gold medals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Egypt and Nigeria will contest the bronze medals.
The third-place match will take place on Saturday, January 17, while the final of the tournament is scheduled for Sunday, January 18.
