Details: According to Topskills Sports UK, Barcelona's management has decided to announce their willingness to sell the team's 27-year-old defender Jules Koundé.

Reports suggest that Chelsea are the frontrunners for Koundé, and according to sources, will need to pay at least £70 million to secure the much-coveted French defender, who tops their list of transfer targets.

Barcelona's decision to sell Koundé stems from the player's high personal contract demands, which put additional strain on the club's already troubled finances.

Chelsea previously attempted to sign Koundé back in 2022, but the deal fell through. Nevertheless, the Blues still view Koundé as their number one defensive reinforcement.

This season, Koundé has played 40 matches for the Blaugrana, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists. His current contract with the Catalan club runs until 2030, and his market value is estimated at €60 million by Transfermarkt.
