A new challenge awaits Greenwood.
Details: Earlier today, Turkish side Fenerbahçe officially announced on their social media page X the signing of Mason Greenwood, who joins from French club Marseille.
The parties have agreed on a four-year contract, with the transfer fee set at €39 million. The payments will be made in three equal installments over the next three years.
The deal will also benefit the player's former clubs. According to the terms of a previous agreement, Manchester United will receive a percentage from the player's subsequent sale. Out of the total transfer sum, the English club is entitled to €15.6 million.
A portion of this amount—€3.12 million—will be transferred to Getafe, meaning United's net income will be €12.48 million.
For Fenerbahçe, this transfer marks one of their largest investments in recent years and is aimed at strengthening the team's attacking line ahead of the new season.
