La Liga’s top striker, Artem Dovbyk of Girona, has yet to determine his future as two clubs are vying for his signature.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Atlético Madrid is in negotiations with the Ukrainian forward and his team. The Mattress Makers have reached an agreement with Girona, with the transfer valued at €40 million plus bonuses.
However, it is crucial to note that Artem Dovbyk has not yet signed a contract with Atlético, as Serie A representative Roma is also interested in him.
Recently, we reported that the Ukrainian striker had seemingly agreed on a transfer to Atlético. Nonetheless, different sources report varying transfer fees. Some indicate that Atlético will pay the €40 million release clause, while others suggest a figure of €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
It is worth noting that in the recently concluded La Liga season, Dovbyk scored 24 goals, and Girona achieved a remarkable third-place finish, securing their first-ever qualification for the Champions League.
