The top scorer of La Liga, Artem Dovbyk, will leave Girona after just his first season in La Liga.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Ukrainian forward has reached a full agreement on a transfer to Atlético Madrid. There is also an agreement between the clubs.
However, there is a discrepancy in the reported transfer fee. Some sources indicate that Atlético will pay a release clause of €40 million, while others suggest a deal involving €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
At Atlético, Dovbyk will replace Álvaro Morata, who moved to Milan this summer for €13 million.
In the recently concluded La Liga season, Dovbyk scored 24 goals, and Girona sensationally finished third, qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
