Renowned Swiss midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has become a free agent.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the 32-year-old midfielder agreed to terminate his contract with Chicago on Wednesday, August 14. As of tomorrow, Shaqiri will be free to seek a new club.
Shaqiri had been playing for the MLS club since 2022, following his transfer from Lyon. During his time with the American team, he made 75 appearances, scoring 16 goals and providing 13 assists.
