The defender from Manchester United, Raphael Varane, has decided to leave the English Premier League and continue his career in Saudi Arabia. This information has been reported by the publication L'Equipe. However, the specific club where the French player will continue his career has not been disclosed.

It's noted that the former French national team defender made this decision due to his dissatisfaction with the amount of playing time. In the current season, Varane has started in the Red Devils' lineup in only five matches. Overall, he has appeared on the field 14 times in all competitions.

Previously, there were reports of a possible return of the 30-year-old defender to Real Madrid. In Madrid, Varane could potentially replace the injured David Alaba.

Varane has been with United since 2021, having transferred from Real Madrid for 40 million euros. Wearing the Red Devils' jersey, the defender has played 77 matches and scored two goals.

Manchester United is having a challenging season. Under Erik ten Hag's management, the team currently holds the eighth position in the Premier League table. On December 24th, it was announced that British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe is acquiring a 25 percent stake in the club.
