Leicester City stands on the verge of sweeping historic changes.

Details: The club's owners, the Thai company King Power and the Srivaddhanaprabha family, have begun actively taking steps to sell the English club. Detailed investment brochures have already been circulated to potential investors. The management is considering both a full sale and the attraction of external capital.

According to The Athletic, the owners are hoping to receive around $300 million (£222 million) for the club, but due to the team's relegation to the third tier and heavy losses, the final deal may be closer to $200 million.

This decision comes as a result of deep financial troubles, intense pressure from regulatory authorities over breaches of financial fair play rules, and unstable performances on the pitch that have led to back-to-back relegations.

It is worth noting that the Srivaddhanaprabha family has owned Leicester City since 2010. During this period, the club rose from Championship mid-table status to a sensational Premier League title in 2016, a Champions League quarter-final appearance, and an FA Cup triumph in 2021.

Reminder: BREAKING: Premier League champions could be taken over by Arab investors!
