Last year in England, there was a series of burglaries targeting Premier League footballers. Victims included Kevin De Bruyne, Victor Lindelof, and João Cancelo. The most recent incident was the burglary at Jack Grealish's home, which occurred on Boxing Day. Burglars broke into the Manchester City winger's home while his family was present, stealing valuables amounting to approximately £1 million. Interestingly, this happened while the player was on the field, and his family was watching the match broadcast.

The series of burglaries continued into this year. It has been reported that during yesterday's home match between Newcastle United and Manchester City, burglars invaded the home of Newcastle's forward Joelinton. Fortunately, Joelinton's entire family was at the stadium, and no one was harmed.

Upon receiving an alert from the security system about the break-in, the police were immediately called, and a helicopter was dispatched to the scene. However, according to police reports, the intruders had already left Joelinton's home before the patrol arrived.

"Yesterday [Saturday] around 19:30, an anxious homeowner called the police, reporting that three men were in their home in Darras Hall. Fortunately, the owner was not at home but received a security system alert on his phone and promptly reported the issues to the police. The police were dispatched to the scene; however, the suspected individuals had already fled. The investigation continues."

It seems that many footballers in England may need to resort to more serious home security measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.
