The saga continues! Negotiations over N’Golo Kanté between Al-Ittihad and Fenerbahçe resume
Despite recent reports suggesting the N’Golo Kanté transfer had collapsed, the parties are back at the negotiating table.
Details: According to Santi Aouna, Saudi club Al-Ittihad and Istanbul’s Fenerbahçe have made a final push to agree on a deal for the French midfielder before the window slams shut.
The Frenchman himself has already reached full agreement on personal terms with the Turkish club.
The situation is complicated by the tight deadline, with the Turkish transfer window closing on February 5. The clubs have less than 48 hours left to settle financial differences and finalize the paperwork.
It’s worth noting that this season Kanté has made 26 appearances for the Saudi club, scoring twice and providing one assist. Transfermarkt values him at €4.5 million.
Recall: The president of Romanian side FCSB dismissed several star players after their defeat to Fenerbahçe and subsequent Europa League elimination.
