The Central Operative Unit of the Civil Guard is conducting searches at the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in Las Rozas, as reported by AS.

It has been revealed that these searches are related to all documents associated with the contract between the RFEF and Saudi Arabia regarding the organization of the Spanish Super Cup. The football federation is suspected of receiving 40 million euros annually.

Additionally, it is reported that the intermediary between Saudi Arabia and the Spanish Football Federation was the company Kosmos, owned by former Barcelona footballer Gerard Piqué.

The Court of Mahadahondi suspects former head of the Football Federation Luis Rubiales in this case. The case involves potential money laundering, unfair administration, and corruption. It is worth recalling that the contract between the RFEF and Saudi Arabia was signed in September 2019 for a duration of six years.

Furthermore, the FIFA Appeals Committee rejected the appeal of Luis Rubiales, former president of the Spanish Football Federation, against the decision of the Spanish sports administrative court to suspend him from football activity for three years.
