The return of Orlando Pirates fringe players such as Olisah Ndah and Thabiso Sesane has left Abdeslam Ouaddou impressed with Orlando Pirates' depth
The return of Thabiso Sesane and Olisah Ndah to the Orlando Pirates defence has left coach Abdeslam Ouaddou a pleased man.
Ouaddou’s defensive pairing of Sesane and Ndah have been on the side-lines through injury and their return at Moses Mabhida Stadium against Carling All Stars.
The All Stars team were not as clinical to give them a run for their money but that the referee denied All Stars to legitimate penalties is a sign that the duo are still unfit match fitness wise.
Ndah was suspect and also Deon Hotto ran away with murder as tackled Mfundo Vilakazi inside the box but referee waved play on.
Nevertheless, Ouaddou was impressed with his club’s depth as this also meant he has a pool of players to choose from.
“But they always know that they are very important for me. All these players that you have seen today, they are working hard in training, close communication with them to tell them that they are very important for us,” the former Marumo Gallants coach said.
“And maybe at the end of the season, some of these players that we have seen can help us to be successful.
“So, they’ve been professional for a while, for a long time, and today I had the opportunity to give them chance, and they show it in a fantastic way.
“I’m very happy for them, and they need to continue that like that, and to challenge for a regular place.”
