The recovery of the Real Madrid defender is being prolonged
The return of Real Madrid defender David Alaba is being postponed indefinitely due to complications following his injury. Journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon shared this information on his Twitter account.
It is worth recalling that the Austrian sustained a cruciate ligament injury during the 17th round match of the Spanish La Liga against Villarreal. To stimulate tissue recovery, micro-perforations were performed to enhance blood supply to the affected area.
As a result of this recovery process, the footballer's return is delayed for an unspecified period.
In the current season, Alaba has played 17 matches and provided two assists.
Interestingly, Alaba became the third Real Madrid player this season to suffer a cruciate ligament rupture, following goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and defender Eder Militao. Consequently, the club has initiated the search for a central defender and has already begun work in the transfer market.
