The main goalkeeper of Milan, Mike Maignan, has sustained an injury and will miss tomorrow's match against Sassuolo in Serie A.

Sky Sport Italia reports that the decision of the coaching staff not to include the goalkeeper in the game is just a precautionary measure. It is expected that the French international will be able to participate in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico next Thursday.

This season, the 28-year-old Maignan has participated in 40 matches for AC Milan, conceding 48 goals with 15 clean sheets.

Maignan's contract with Milan expires in two years, and the parties have not yet reached an agreement on its extension, leaving open the possibility of the goalkeeper being sold in the summer. The club has already identified a potential replacement for him.

It is worth recalling that in the first leg of the Europa League, Milan narrowly lost to Roma 0:1.
