Barcelona is ready to part ways with Frenkie de Jong in the summer. The Catalan club may allow the Dutch midfielder to leave the team at the end of the season.

Details: Saudi clubs have shown interest in the player, but the most likely option remains his move to England. In 2022, Manchester United tried to sign de Jong, but the deal fell through. Now, Liverpool is targeting him and considering a transfer for 35 million euros as part of their summer squad overhaul.

According to El Nacional, Barcelona's sporting director Deco is aware of the English club's interest, but the Catalans expect to receive no less than 40 million euros for the player. Liverpool is seen as the most likely contender for de Jong, and Barcelona is not planning to block his move.

Reminder: The midfielder’s current contract runs until 2026, and if he does not sign a new agreement by the end of the season, he will have just one year left on his contract next summer. In that case, the Spanish club will have to sell him to receive some compensation.
