The President of the German Football Association (DFB), Bernd Neuendorf, has commented on the possibility of extending the contract with the head coach of the national team, Julian Nagelsmann.

According to the official, the parties need to sit down and talk with each other. Neuendorf is confident that they will quickly reach an agreement. Nagelsmann wants to determine his future before Euro 2024, and the DFB will satisfy his desire.

The contract of the 37-year-old coach with the German national team is set to expire at the end of the UEFA European Championship. Earlier reports suggested that Jürgen Klopp could succeed Nagelsmann, but only for the World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

Previously, there were reports of interest in Nagelsmann from top clubs in the English Premier League.
